Borg Al Arab to host Egyptian derby

CAIRO – 13 July2017: The Egyptian FA informed Al-Ahly SC officials on July 12 about the stadium that will host the match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

The Egyptian FA sent Al-Ahly officials a statement saying that Borg Al Arab in Alexandria will host the derby between Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

The association has previously announced that El-Salaam Stadium would host the match; however, Egyptian security rejected the idea, saying that they will not be able to host the match in Cairo.

Al-Ahly, who is first place in the standing, will face Zamalek, who is third, in the last fixture of the Egyptian Premier League on July 17 at 8 p.m. local time.

It is good to mention that the first leg between Al-Ahly and Zamalek saw a dispute about where the match would be played, before finally agreeing on playing the match in Petro Sport Stadium, where Al-Ahly won 2-0.
