CAIRO – 11 July 2017: The Egyptian Football Association, headed by Hani Abou Reida, officially decided Monday to stop the summer players registration for Zamalek until the club squares its debts with former Zamalek players Ahmed Hassan and Mahmoud Fathallah, the former captain of the team.

Ahmed Hassan and Fathallah went to the headquarters of the Football Association on Monday to meet board member Ahmed Migahed. Migahed assured them the board decided to ban any club that had outstanding debts to players from registering new players.

FIFA, the international umbrella of the federation, assured the two players they would be receiving their dues, which amounts to roughly LE 8 million ($450,000), Super Kora reported.
