CAIRO – 12 July 2017: Essam El-Hadry, Egyptian national team’s goalkeeper, managed to keep a clean sheet on July 11 in his first game with Al-Taawon FC.

Al-Taawon played a friendly match with Saudi club Al-Batin FC, where Hadry made his first appearance with Al-Taawon.

Wadi Degla’s former goalkeeper, Hadry appeared on the bench in the first half of the game before entering the pitch in the second half.

Hadry entered the second half with his team losing 3-0. The Egyptian managed to keep calm and concentrate in the pitch, allowing no goals to enter. Hadry’s amazing performance allowed the team to make a comeback scoring 3 goals, making the score 3-3.

It is good to mention that the 44 year old goalkeeper, became the first foreign goalkeeper in the history of the Saudi Arabian Football League.
