El Soulia Is Back

CAIRO-15 January 2021: Amr El Soulia, Egypt national team midfielder, is back from his injury and he is now available to participate with the Pharaohs in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

The player missed the opening game against Nigeria as he was not fully fit but the player's return ahead of the game against Guinea-Bissau was one of the rare good news to come out of the national team camp in Garoua. 

"I missed the first match with an injury, but I am ready now and the decision to play is in the hands of the coach. We will work to correct what happened last match and to show Egypt in a better image." El Soulia said in the pre-game press conference.

Egypt lost 1-0 to Nigeria in the first match and they are at the bottom of the table after Matchday 1.

El Soulia added "We feel sad and upset because of the last match like the Egyptian people, but we closed this page, and we have another chance to make our fans happy."

El Soulia has been sidelined since the CAF Super Cup game between Al Ahly and Raja Casablanca in December after suffering a calf injury during the warming-up.
