CAIRO-31 December 2021: Everything is changing so quickly at the Egyptian national team ahead of participating in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next January.

After announcing a 25-player list for the competition on Wednesday, Carlos Queiroz, Egypt national team head coach, changed his mind and decided to add three players to the list.

Queiroz decided to add Marwan Hamdy, Smouha striker, Ibrahim Adel, Pyramids FC winger, and Mohamed Hamdy, Pyramids FC defender, to his team and the Pharaohs will head to Cameroon with full squad.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) gave the participating nations the chance to register 28 players for the competition, which is the first to be held since the COVID-19 outbreak.

Egypt plays in Group D alongside Nigeria, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.

The Pharaohs are the record title-holders, having won the title on seven occasions and they hope to put their hand on the trophy after a 12-year hiatus.
