Darawish finishes fourth in Egyptian Premier League

CAIRO –10 July 2017:Al Ismaily managed to defeat Al Ittihad of Alexandria with a clean goal in the match held Monday evening at Borg Al Arab stadium in Alexandria during the final round of the Egyptian Premier League competition. Mahmoud Metwally scored the winning goal for Darawish Al Ismaily.

With this result, Al Ismaily reached the 54 points to occupy the fifth place of the league table, while Al Ittihad stopped at 44 points, putting it in eighth place.

Mahmoud Metwally, captain of Al Ismaily, scored the winning goal for Darawish in Hani Suleiman’s net in the 23rd minute of the game after the referee whistled a penalty for Al Ismaily as a result of Al Ittihad player Mohammed Abdel Meguid touching the ball with his hand in the penalty area. The game continued with the same result until the end.

Al Ismaily achieved its fourth consecutive victory at the end of the league after this win, after beating Al Dakhleya, Aswan and Petrojet in the last three rounds, and finally Al Ittihad in the last round.
