CAIRO-4 December 2021: After less than an hour, Egypt will face Sudan in the second round of Group D of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.

The Egyptians have three points and they are second in the group behind Algeria, who defeated Lebanon earlier on Saturday to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

Carlos Queiroz, Egypt national team head coach, has made five changes to the team's starting line-up for the game, as the three players, who started behind the striker against Lebanon, are benched.

Mohamed Sherif, Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Mostafa Fathy were replaced by Hussein Faisal, Ahmed Refaat and Ahmed Sayed Zizo while Marwan Hamdy kept his position in front.

Also, Ayman Ashraf and Omar Kamal Abdelwahed will start tonight instead of Akram Tawfik and the team's midfielder, Hamdy Fathy, who was forced to miss the squad.

Egypt's starting line-up against Sudan: Mohamed El Shenawy, Omar Kamal, Ahmed Hegazi, Ahmed Fattouh, Mahmoud Hamdy El Wensh, Amr El Soulia, Ayman Ashraf, Hussein Faisal, Ahmed Refaat, Zizo and Marwan Hamdy.

The Pharaohs need the three points to secure their place in the second round before facing Algeria in the last group stage game on Tuesday.
