CAIRO-20 November 2021: Carlos Queiroz, Egypt national team head coach, named 23 players for the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, scheduled in Qatar between 30 November and 18 December.

Queiroz chose seven players from Al Ahly, five players from Zamalek and did not include any player from Pyramids in the list as they are set to play two games in CAF Confederation Cup at the same time of the competition.

The Portuguese manager did not include Zamalek’s Tarek Hamed in the list in a surprise decision as the player has been a key ingredient in the team’s squad in the last five years.
