CAIRO-16 October 2021: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, scored a beauty in his team’s 5-0 win over Watford on Saturday afternoon.

This goal has a historic importance as it marked the Egyptian’s 104th goal in the Premier League, equaling the record of Didier Drogba as the African player with most goals in the English top division.

Ironically, Salah’s historic goal was scored at Vicarage Road Stadium, where the Egyptian winger opened his account of Premier League goals in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford in 2017.

Salah reached 104 goals in the Premier League after 166 games while the Ivorian legend needed 254 goals to reach that tally.

Salah’s partner in Liverpool’s attacking line, Sadio Mane, comes third in the list with 100 goals.

“I’m just trying every time to give 100 per cent from what I have and trying to help the team. Sometimes I have luck, sometimes not. But I’m feeling confident at the moment, I feel like I’m scoring goals, helping the team to get points, which is the most important thing.” Salah told Liverpool website after the game.

The Egyptian is now leading the top scorers list in the league with 7 goals. He also comes second in the list of the best assist providers with four assists.
