CAIRO-14 October 2021: Egypt men's handball team will have extensive preparations ahead of participating in the African championship, scheduled in Morocco between 13 and 23 January.
 
Ayman Salah, the Egyptian Handball Federation board member, stated that the national team players, who are playing in the domestic league, will continue training in a mini camp every Sunday and Monday. The mini camp sessions will be led by the national team's assistant coach Rubén Garabaya. 
 
The Pharaohs will play two friendly matches against Macedonia on 4 and 6 November with the participation of the foreign-based players. 
 
In December, the national team will travel to Qatar to participate in a friendly tournament between 26 and 31 December before playing two friendly matches against Bahrain in Cairo on 3 and 5 January. 
 
"We will conclude our preparations for the competition in France when we participate in a friendly tournament with France, Germany and Denmark." Salah added. 
 
The Pharaohs, the defending champions, aim to maintain their dominance over the continent and achieve the 8th African title and close the gap with Tunisia, who are currently the record title winners with 10 titles.
