CAIRO-9 September 2021: Mohamed Elneny, Arsenal Egyptian midfielder, will not be available for the next three weeks after suffering a hamstring strain.

"Mo has suffered a hamstring strain and is aiming to be back in full training in two to three weeks." Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, said on Thursday.

Elneny's injury forced him to miss Egypt's 1-1 draw with Gabon in the African World Cup qualifiers last Sunday.

Elneny was so close from leaving the London giants this summer to join Galatasaray but the deal was collapsed as both teams failed to reach an agreement on a transfer fee.

The Egyptian midfielder did not start the first two Premier League matches against Brentford and Chelsea and his only participation came in the second half of Arsenal's 5-0 loss against Manchester City.

Arsenal will face Norwich City on Saturday at home and they need to win the game after a very disappointing start to the season, having lost their opening three matches and they even failed to score a single goal.
