CAIRO-2 September 2021: Hossam El Badry, Egypt national team coach, said that he is not happy with the team's display on Thursday against Angola, adding that it was very important to start the World Cup qualifiers with a victory.

"We are facing difficult circumstances. We missed some of the team's best players in the game but it is always good to start with a victory." El Badry said in the post-match press conference.

Egypt secured a 1-0 victory over Angola in the opening game of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers but El Badry and his men are under huge criticism following a discouraging show at 30 June Stadium.

El Badry added "Some players need to provide a better performance. I am sure that we will improve when we spend more time together."

Egypt will travel to Liberville to face Gabon on Sunday and the Egyptian fans hope to see a more beautiful performance from the Pharaohs to be able to return home with a positive result.

El Badry's men should not expect an easy mission in Gabon as The Panthers will be fighting to get the three points after losing to Libya away from home in Matchday 1.
