CAIRO – 9 July 2017: Manchester United, Red Devils, announced on July 8 the signing of the Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku.

Manchester United released a short statement on Saturday morning via their Twitter account informing their fans that the deal is done.

“We are delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to medical and personal terms.

A further announcement will be made in due course,” said the statement they posted on their official Facebook account.

Chelsea and Manchester United entered the race on the Belgium striker before United managed to sign him on a £75 million ($96.7 million) transfer fee, according to The Telegraph.

The 24 year old striker Lukaku has been in an excellent form in the last Barclays Premier League (BPL) season scoring 25 goals for Everton last season in the BPL.

Manchester United are looking to regain their European strength after returning back to participate in the Champions League. They completed the signing of the Swedish defender Victor Lindelof.
