Cairo, 13 July 2021: Egyptian handball legend Ahmed Al-Ahmar, Barcelona star Ali Zain, and Zamalek star Yahya Al-Daraa adorn the list of Egypt's national team that will play the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
 
Spanish coach Roberto Garcia Parrondo has chosen 16 players to compete in the Olympics.
 
Goalkeepers: Karim Hindawi - Mohamed Essam Al-Tayyar - Mohamed Ali
Right-back: Yahya Khaled - Ahmed Al-Ahmar
 
Left back: Ali Zain - Yahya Al Deraa - Hassan Walid "Kadah"
 
Playmaker: Ahmed Hesham El-Sayed "Dodo"
 
Circle: Ibrahim Al-Masry - Mohamed Mamdouh Hashem - Wissam Nawar - Ahmed Adel
 
Right wing: Muhammad Sanad
 
Left wing: Omar Al-Wakil "Bakkar" - Sword of Shield
 
Consequently, coach Jose Parondo did not include Ahmed Khairy, Ahmed Moamen Safa, Akram Yousry and Mohsen Ramadan for the final list.
 
Egypt was drawn into the second group of the Olympics, which includes Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Japan and Bahrain.
 
The team's mission is headed by Ayman Salah.
 
The team will have a rest on Tuesday, after which the team will enter a closed camp for two days before heading to Japan on July 16 to compete in the Tokyo Olympics.
