CAIRO-20 May 2021: Dejan Lovren, former Liverpool defender and current player of Russia's Zenit St Petersburg, believes that Liverpool Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is totally focused with his team despite the rumours linking him with a move away from the Reds next summer.
“I cannot talk in his name about what his plans are but I think he's similar to me. If he's focused he's focused there and he showed that with the goalscoring,” Lovren told Skysports.
The pair shared Liverpool's dressing room between 2017 and 2020 when Lovren left the club to play in Russia.
Salah has been sensational for Liverpool this season despite the fact that Liverpool struggled to show their usual performance this season.
Lovren added "You never know what can happen in football. I wish him all the best, I hope he wins lots of trophies at Liverpool but football can be quite changeable so let's see."
Salah is the club's leading scorer in the league with 22 goals and he is in the race for the Golden Boot Award as he shares the top with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.
The Egyptian winger has a chance to boost his situation in the race when Liverpool host Crystal Palace on Sunday in the last week of the season.
