CAIRO – 6 July 2017: Melvin Hunt, assistant coach of Dallas Maverick, spoke to the Basketball Federation official website on July 6 about his opinion on Egypt and its hosting to the U-19 Basketball World Cup and how his visit to Egypt with his family went.

Talking to the Basketball Federation’s Facebook page, Hunt said, “Egypt is safe and I will tell my friends to come visit the country. I really enjoyed my time in Egypt.”

Hunt visited Egypt with his wife and went to the Pyramids where he really understood why it is one of the seven wonders. Adding to the Basketball’s Federation official website, Hunt said, “The Egyptians are great.

The security and the volunteers are doing a great job in making the tournament appear that way; all my friends here in Egypt made everything run smoothly for me.”

Hunt concluded his talk saying, “I will tell my friends to come visit Egypt and I will sure come back to visit Egypt with my family in the future.”

Melvin Hunt worked in the technical staff in the NBA for many teams like: Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets. He also managed to coach basketball greats like LeBron James, Anthony Parker, and Kobe Bryant.

Egypt is hosting the U-19 Basketball World Cup from July 1 to July 9.
