CAIRO-23 April 2021: Zamalek's Moroccan forwards, Achraf Bencharki and Hamid Ahadad, scored two goals to secure a 2-0 win for the White Knights over El Entag El Harby on Thursday night in the Egyptian League. Zamalek are back to victories after losing the Cairo derby to Al Ahly 2-1 on Sunday.

Zamalek's head coach Patrice Carteron made many changes, with only four players from the team's starting XI that lost to Al Ahly were named in the starting line-up.

Zamalek needed 20 minutes to open the score from the penalty spot. The referee awarded the White Knights a penalty as the ball was blocked by El Entag El Harby defender, Ali Fathy's hand. The team's Moroccan winger Bencherki converted it to put his team in front.

Zamalek doubled the score five minutes before half-time by Hamid Ahadad. Ali Fathy let his team down once again as he failed to pass the ball to his goalkeeper and Hamid Ahadad was in the right place, cutting the ball and putting it in the back of the net.

The opening minutes of the second half did not bring good news for Zamalek as their defender Mohamed Abdelghani was sent off after receiving his second yellow card in the game.

Carteron used his bench to reshape the team's formation after the red card. The White Knights stood their ground in the second half to secure an important victory.

Zamalek extended their lead atop of the table to six points ahead of Al Ahly, who still have three games to play.
