CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Egypt Today is doing a recap of all the matches that were played on the fourth day of the Basketball U-19 World Cup that is being held in Egypt from July 1 to July 9.

The start of the day saw one of the favorites of the tournament, Canada, beat Japan 100-75. In the second match of the day the Spaniards managed to beat Mali 62-43.

Angola was able to gain Africa’s only victory in the fourth day of the tournament after beating Iran 70-48. The team with the most U-19 Basketball World Cup trophies, the U.S., managed to beat Italy by 98-65 to become the leaders of group four. In a dramatic match, Argentina bested New Zealand in the last minutes of the game with 74-70. The French on the other side had an easy victory against South Korea with a score of 87-55.

As the day drew to a close Egypt lost to Germany by 40-66 and Lithuania defeated Puerto Rico 96-57. With this result Egypt is set to play Argentina on July 5 in round 16.

Round 16 is expected to start on July 5. Eight matches are set to be played.
