CAIRO - 19 June 2020: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Terentiev announced on Thursday resuming charter flights of Belavia starting from July to let Belarusian tourists visit the great resorts of the Red Sea and Sharm el Sheikh.

In exclusive statements to MENA, he noted that Belarusian and Egyptian experts are cooperating to surpass any hindrances facing the resuming of the charter flights between the two countries.

The ambassador asserted that he checked on the measures taken by the Egyptian government in hotels and touristic destinations to protect the health of tourists, adding that he is sure that the Egyptian destinations like Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria and Cairo will be the main and safe destination to all tourists around the world in the upcoming few weeks.

He noted that about 258,000 Belarusian tourists visited Egypt in 2019, hoping that the number will increase in 2020.
