CAIRO – 25 June 2017: Instagram has started testing a new feature for users to share posts with a limited group of friends. The feature, called favorites, aims to encourage users to post more often by giving them more control over their audience. It works for both regular and story posts, and it will let you choose who can see each photo.

The feature enables the users to mark a friend as their ‘favorite’ on Instagram. Only a small group of users now have access to the new feature. If someone has it, they will find a green star icon on their profile. They tap it and then choose which friends get to be part of the secret list, refinery29 reported.

No one will get a notification when you add or remove someone from the list. They will only notice it when they see a green badge at the top of the post.
