A Better Box: new Food Bank initiative to stop food waste

CAIRO – 12 June 2017: How many times did you go to a Ramadan gathering and you knew that everyone will bring food gifts with them?

Let's face it, we all do it. We all go to gatherings and mostly get with us desserts from a pastry while knowing that we will not eat from the dessert and it will end up in the garbage.

However, we never learn from our mistakes and we repeat them every time.

But here is a new initiative that we need to try.

Next time you go to a gathering in Ramadan, ask in the listed pastry for "3elbat haga ahla" (a better box.) 3lebat haga ahla content will be distributed by Egyptian Food Bank to those in need and you will get a box to spread the awareness about the move.

The pastries are Tsepaps, Saraya, La Poire, Torintan, Copper Melt, Sale Scure, Al Abd, Devour, and others.
