CAIRO – 11 June 2017: On the eighth day of Ramadan, ET’s camera captured the beautiful and happy atmosphere that comes with the holy month, during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk.

Cairenes were seen buying juice and food as Muslims gathered in the streets before the sunset prayer.

Ramadan is a month of tolerance, happiness and respect. It is a month in which Muslims aim to embody their best selves; a month in which each person treats themselves and each other with love and respect.

Walking in streets of Egypt in Ramadan is a must, especially before iftar, the time when Muslims break the day’s fast. Even after iftar the streets are filled with so much love.
