CAIRO, Feb 25 (MENA) - The Environment Ministry organized a wide-scale cleaning campaign of Abu Galom national park in South Sinai.

The campaign is meant to boost awareness of the role played by national parks in preserving natural resources and biodiversity.

It also aims to best benefit from the national parks and preserve them for coming generations.

The campaign included lifting wastes from some parts of the coastal area and Madaq al Shatae area, said director of Abu Galom national park Ahmed el Sadeq in a statement issued by the Environment Ministry.

The wastes were moved in cooperation with the Association For The Protection Of The Environment (APE) and the Dahab city municipal council.
