Cairo – 18 May 2017: Commuting around Cairo seems to be an endless journey to hell. In general, people in Cairo drive with all their nerves on an edge, being fully focused and totally ready for surprises.

Well, this surprise is one of a kind! Cairenes have heard the good news about “UberBoat”, where Uber teamed up with Nile Taxi starting May 17, for a limited time only, to launch UberBoat, giving Cairo inhabitants their own private speedboat, Uber’s official blog in Egypt says.

Instead of wasting half of your day, you can relax and enjoy the Nile while the speedboat makes its way through its impressive beauty.

According to their blog, Uber has chosen ten docks covering Zamalek, Downtown, Garden City, Giza and Maadi. You can reach any destination in 25 minutes or less. UberBoat announced through dotmasr’s website that it will be operating every day from 8:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m.

Offering a 50 percent discount, they charge a fixed rate of 80 EGP for any boat ride, which can take up to four people, Uber’s official blog said.

All you need to do is tap UberBoat, when you are 15 minutes or less from one of the docks located at:

• TGI Fridays – Maadi
• The Platform – Maadi
• Yacht Club (Members Only) – Maadi
• TGI Fridays – Giza
• Sea Scout – Giza
• Four Seasons – Garden City
• Sequoia – Zamalek
• Le Bon (Sawi Culture Wheel) – Zamalek
• Le Pacha 1900 – Zamalek
• Nile City Towers – Nile Corniche

The popular ride-sharing application began operating in Egypt in 2014.
