CAIRO – 21 April 2017: Egypt’s Ministry of Environments has defined 18 conditions and requirements to get tourist licenses to visit nature reserves for schools, universities or tour operators and travel companies.

For travel companies:
1- A request application that includes full program of the tour
2- A map with enclosed coordinates and an itinerary
3- Photo scanned passports of foreigners and IDs of Egyptians
4- Photo scanned driving licenses of drivers
5- Security approvals from the Ministry of Defense and Egyptian Border Guard for Rreserves located on Egyptian borders
6- The application should be submitted three working-days ahead of the visit so that the ministry can take the necessary procedures

For individuals, schools and scouts:
1- A request application with the purpose of the visit included
2- Photo scanned IDs of Egyptian citizens
3- Obligation to environmental laws and legislations
4- Natural resources are priceless, however, anyone who damages or harms it shall bear costs of restoring it
5- Obligation to get the required permits from competent authorities
6- Communication devices and first-aid packs should be equipped
7- Killing, damaging, moving or collecting living beings, sea creatures, shells and snails are prohibited
8- No other species of animals shall be accompanied inside the reserves
9- Transferring or collecting soil or organic materials is prohibited without an authorization from the Environment Affairs Authority
10- Throwing trash is strictly prohibited
11- Throwing oils and greases are also strictly prohibited
