CAIRO - 13 January 2018: The Air Arabia Egypt Airline will open a new route in May from the Borg El-Arab International Airport in Alexandria to Orio al Serio International Airport in Milan, Italy, according to a statement the company released on Saturday.

There will be two direct trips every week, on Fridays and Sundays at different times, the statement added.

“The opening of the new line from our operation center in Alexandria confirms the growing demand for travel to Egypt,” stated the chief executive officer of Air Arabia Egypt Airline, Adel el-Aly.

Air Arabia Egypt is known as the first and biggest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa and it won the quality achieving award in 2017.

This award of appreciation was given to the Air Arabia Egypt Airline due to its impressive growth rates, and commitment to humanitarian affairs, such as the “Cloud of Goodness” initiative, which helped to cure 70,000 patients.

The Air Arabia Egypt Airline was able to improve the living conditions of poorer citizens by constructing schools and health clinics in Sudan, Yemen, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Sri Lanka and Egypt. Almost 30,000 patients are treated in these clinics annually.
