CAIRO – 10 January 2018: Egypt has a great opportunity to rebuild the Russian market in the tourism sector.

Hesham El Demiry, head of the Egyptian Authority for Tourism Development, confirmed that the authority has the opportunity to innovatively rebuild the Russian market through different ways, represented in offering new products with high quality away from low-cost product strategy.

He added that the Russian market organization instantly focuses on some of the tourism challenges like organizing tourism delegations and publishing descriptive, interesting articles on all social media platforms.

Demiry stated that the 2018 World Cup will be a great chance to promote tourism in Egypt, as the marketing plan will continue during 2018 through many promotional campaigns organized by public relations department JWT.

According to the Egyptian Authority for Tourism Development, the intended plan will start as soon as possible with public relations campaigns and inviting a number of well-known public figures.

Russian travel agencies are ready to organize tours in the upcoming year as a result of resuming direct flights between Cairo and Moscow with participation of the entire tourism sector, according to an Egyptian tourism consultant in Moscow.

The Egyptian Authority for Tourism Development received around 400 public figures from artists, sports icons and bloggers in 2016, and more than 2,000 in 2017, in addition to organizing journalistic tours for all of Egypt’s touristic spots. On the other hand, it also organized Egyptian delegations to many countries, including Germany, India, Japan and Czech Republic, in order to rebuild a great image about Egypt in world’s eye.
