Vardalos is a Canadian-American actress; she was born on September 24, 1962. She began her career on TV by doing minor roles in shows like; "The Drew Carey Show" (1997), "Boy Meets World" (1998-99), "Two Guys and a Girl" (1999) and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (2000)
Her debut was in 1996 in a film called "No Experience Necessary."


She was known for her film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" in 2002, and she was nominated for the Oscars for that role. Due to the film’s booming success of the film, the filmmakers decided to make the series "My Big Fat Greek Life," which aired in 2003.

Her latest Film was "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2," which was a sequel to her first major work.
