CAIRO -31 August 2017: “An information center inside the Citadel of Saladin, Cairo, is to be opened next month. The center is planning to provide the tourists with maps and information about the Egyptian sites that can stimulate the tourists to pay Egypt a second visit,” Gamal Mustafa, Citadel’s general manager stated on Wednesday.
“The information center is to be opened , in cooperation with the National Organization for Urban Harmony, and is aiming to increase the rates of visits to Egypt during the coming period. It includes information about the cultural heritage of Egyptian sites, in addition to the implementation of a small booklet that will include all the archaeological areas and a map,” Mustafa added.
The Saladin Citadel that lies on “Mokattam” hill in Cairo, with its mosques and museums, is considered one of the most important tourist attractions in Cairo, after the Giza plateau.
