Give us an overview on coaching

Planted within a nourishing soil, and provided with nutrients, sunlight, water, a suitable environment, a seed cannot help but grow, no? Think of us humans and our potential as seeds. Given the right environment, be it internal or psychological, we cannot help but grow to our best form.

What is your purpose as a coach?

My purpose and what brings me joy in my work is simple; it is to set humans unconditionally free. Not in any idealistic sense (be perfect, become the best, succeed in life, etc.), but in the sense that people can think and feel independently from the programmed system they are surrounded by and taught to conform to as they grow up.

Because there is no such thing as a human being who is faulty by nature or born limited intellectually, emotionally or morally etc. I use the Neuro-Semantics and the Meta-Coaching methodology to help people restore good human programs, delete the faulty acquired ones, and enhance other new programs to help them live their own lives.

What is Neuro-Semantics and Meta-coaching? And what are their specific roles in coaching?

The function of Neuro-Semantics and Meta-Coaching is to create this nourishing environment using questions and linguistic tools. It is a way to help a person generate new thoughts, perceptions, and behavior in a certain area of life, while being able to sustain it on an individual level.

Even though the very concept of coaching has been around since the 1920s, many people, including coaches, still mistake coaching with other methods. Coaching is not giving advice, it is not training, it is not mentoring, it is not consulting, neither is it therapy, nor hypnosis. Coaching is an outcome based conversation which gets to the heart of things, what is holding a person back, and what he needs to be empowered.

We grow up influenced by the systems which surround us; family, educational, cultural, religious, etc. and in many cases; this influence is not the best. We may sometimes grow limited in a certain life area.

How did you start your passion for coaching?

My first use of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and coaching was when I taught at grade school. My focus as a teacher was more about helping those who were called “troublemakers” to study and behave better, using questions and reframing techniques from the field of NLP and NLP Coaching.

The problem with coaching nowadays can be summed up down to 2: first, people, including coaches, mistake coaching for mentoring, psychotherapy, counseling, as well as other helping professions. Second, all the troublemakers and social rejects are dealt with in a passive way.

It is time to implement the right techniques; everyone deserves to enjoy a nourished life.
