Conference of Italian tourism companies to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh

CAIRO -11 August 2017:A meeting was held on Wednesday in Cairo between Minister of Tourism Yahya Rashed and the president and vice president of the Italian Federation of Tourism Associations, Jacopo De Ria and Ivana Jelenic, which yielded good results in the targeting of one million Italian tourists to visit Egypt in the coming period.

The visit was followed by a visit from Hisham al-Demiri, head of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, to Rome for further consultations with Italian companies. Italian media quoted him as having agreed to hold a conference of Italian tourism companies in Sharm el-Sheikh next November.

"Egypt is a safe destination, and I think we should all understand that. The war against terrorism will not stop, and we will continue until we reach its roots at the global level," stated Minister Yahya Rashed.
