CAIRO – 31 July 2017: The Cairo International Airport has received on Sunday a British tourist delegation coming from London to visit relics and historic monuments in Cairo and across Egypt.

The British delegation included 122 tourists who finalized their arrival procedures on board of the Egyptian aircraft coming from London under the supervision of tourism police at the airport.

The company organizing the trip is slated to carry out a program for the tourists lasting for three days in Cairo and five days in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Earlier in July, a British security delegation had inspected security measures being conducted at the Cairo International Airport, starting from the passenger’s departure terminal to the boarding of an aircraft.

The delegation also assessed security measures on trips heading to the UK and the means of securing packages in the airport’s Cargo Village.

A number of European airlines had banned flights to Egypt and Sharm El-Sheikh over security concerns following an October 2015 crash of a Russian aircraft in Sinai that resulted in the death of all 224 people on board.

In June 2015, British Airways announced that it would indefinitely extend its suspension of flights to Sharm El-Sheikh.
