The phrase “ 5 Year Plan” is a bit daunting for some, and i bet you’ve been asked about it once or twice. Truth be told, i don’t even think i can give a full-on answer, I can maybe envision a part of it, or at least what i’d hope for it to be, but in the midst of the hustling culture, people seem to forget the fact that not all plans unfold the way we imagine—no matter how much we prepare.
Because after all life comes with all sorts of surprises, and that’s the beauty behind it, so not all things go according to plan, and believe me, you don’t need to have a perfectly mapped-out 5-year plan to succeed. Here’s why:

You’re Allowed to Change
You’re allowed to change your mind, and switch your plans. Your dream job today might not be your dream job in two years. The person you thought you’d always be with might not fit the person you’re becoming. And that’s okay. Growth often means outgrowing what once felt right to you.

The Present Matters More Than Anything
We sometimes overwhelm ourselves way too much when it comes to the future, convinced we’re running out of time, so we loose touch with the present. The truth is, being grounded in the now doesn’t mean you’ve given up on the future—it means you’re giving it the strongest foundation possible.

Success Isn't Linear
You can succeed and accomplish your 5 year plan in a span of two years, for someone else, it might take ten and both are completely fine. Life isn’t a straight road, it’s messy, full of pauses, unexpected turns, and sometimes even a total change of direction. What matters most is to realise that a change in direction or a bump along the road doesn't make your story less successful, it just makes your story different
