We know in this weather, there is absolutely zero energy to do anything. Whether it's work, running errands, or just working out, our energy levels are as low as they can get. Its true, the scorching heat is just the perfect excuse to cancel all plans and stay at home with our beloved AC.
Brain fog is legit, specially in summer. However there are some ways we can clear it, or at least partly. Here’s how to clear the fog and feel a little more like yourself again:
Stay Hydrated
Because we sweat more during summer, our bodies lose water faster than usual. To stay healthy and energized, it's important to drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. Keep a water bottle with you at all times.
Eat Light Meals
Indulging in heavy, greasy meals will leave you even more sluggish in the heat. Instead, go for lighter foods that are rich in water content. Add cucumbers, watermelons, leafy greens to your diet. They will not only keep you cool, but will also help you stay focused throughout the day.
Cut Down Screen Time
We see you doom-scrolling in bed, it’s time to give your eyes some rest, too. Unplug yourself from social media for a while. Read a book, take a nap, or just give a call to your bestie and gossip. Whatever makes you feel laid back do it.
Move Smarter, Not Harder
You don't have to do a killer workout in that weather, a 30 minute walk is more than enough to to keep your body (and brain) active. Light movements like yoga, pilates, stretching boost blood flow, improves focus, and helps shake off that sluggish feeling.
