Summer is finally upon us, which means it’s time for a switch-up to your makeup routine! Each season has its vibe and feel, and this season is all about glowy, dewy makeup looks. Think of it as your skin, but better. Feather brows, juicy lip combos, and fluttery lashes. Many looks are worth recreating, but we can comfortably say that the “sunkissed” look is at the top of the list, and here is how to achieve it.

Prep Your Skin

Want to achieve the perfect base? The secret is skincare. Instead of layering on foundation and concealer, layer on some hydrating skincare products, such as serums, moisturizers, and tinted sunscreen, to achieve the perfect glowy base.

Use Cream Products

To get that glowing-from-within look, replace your powder products with cream ones. Using cream or liquid base products is easy; they blend beautifully into the skin and leave you with a more natural, skin-like finish. Think soft and seamless, not flat and matte.

Add a Pop of Peach

Peachy colored blush is the ultimate summer color. It mimics the natural flush you’d get from a sunny day at the beach and complements pretty much every skin tone. Apply it across your cheeks and a little over your nose bridge for that sun-kissed effect.

Add Subtle Highlighter

After you’ve applied your blush and bronzer duo, add liquid highlighter or even a balm that catches the light just perfectly when you move. Dab it on the high points of your face like the inner coner of your eyes, bridge of your nose,

Finish Off with Setting Spray

Makeup tends to fade more in summertime, that’s why setting spray will always be your go-to this season. Spritz it all over your face to lock everything in place. You can also set your face with setting powder if you have oily skin to keep shine at bay and makeup in place.
