Let’s all be completely honest with ourselves, we are all prone to falling into toxic patterns. We’re not entirely perfect, even if we tried. Sure, we try to sprinkle bits and pieces of positivity here and there, advising people to live and love freely with no conditions, but it’s not always that easy. Practicing what we preach? That’s the hard part.
Inner peace is often chipped away by the little things we ignore and normalize. So if you've been feeling off, stuck, or just drained lately, maybe it's time to take a closer look at the subtle habits that are stealing your peace without knowing.

1. Minimizing Your Emotions
Brushing off your emotions will never solve your problems. Remember, they are completely valid. Bottling up your emotions will only cause more problems and even mentally drain you. Allow yourself to feel, sit with your emotions and process them.

2. Not Having a Safe Space to Recharge
Dear social butterflies, you still need a break too. No matter how much you love spending time with with friends or being out and about, your energy has its limits, just like everyone else. Create rituals that ground you, and give you time to recharge.

3. Holding onto Fake Friendships
Even if you go way back, some friendships aren't meant to last. Dedicate your time and attention to people who support you, and celebrate you—without conditions. The sooner you release what no longer aligns, the more space you create for connections that actually feel good.

4. Letting Fear Control Your Life
Fear hinders all your progress, and allowing it to call the shots keeps you stuck in the same loop. Start taking small risks. Say yes to things that scare you just a little, because after all life is all about trials and failures so take the risk, it might be worth it.

5. Living in the Past
Who doesn’t reminisce better times every now and then? But constantly replaying old memories in your head, whether good or bad will blind you from fully living in the present. The past shaped you, but it shouldn’t define you.
