While trying to make the best out of your beach time, with a little creativity, you can turn that sandy stretch into your own gym. You don’t have to take away from your beach time to hit the gym because the beach can offer a fun, functional workout with the soundtrack of crashing waves. So, grab your swimsuit, a towel, and let’s get it on with these great exercises

Cardio with a View
• Jogging on the Sand: The soft sand adds a little extra challenge to your jog, making it a great way to burn calories and strengthen your legs. Just be sure to adjust your pace for the softer terrain.
• High Knees & Glute Kicks: These classic cardio moves get your heart rate up while the cool ocean breeze keeps you refreshed.
• Beach Sprints: Find a flat stretch of sand and unleash your speed with some beach sprints.

Sculpting with the Sand
• Squats with a Twist: The beach chair can be your gym tool for some awesome squats Sit down halfway, then stand back up, adding a torso twist for an extra core challenge.
• Lunges: Feeling the sea breeze on your face while lunging adds a touch of zen to this classic leg exercise. Plus, the sand adds a bit of instability, making those muscles work even harder.
• Sand Push-ups: Ditch the gym floor and crank out some push-ups on the cool sand. The softer surface makes it a bit easier on your wrists

Core Work with a Coastal Twist
• Plank with a View: Nothing beats the serenity of a beach plank. Lay on your stomach, prop yourself up on your elbows, and soak in the sea view while strengthening your core.
• Russian Twists: Sit on the sand with your knees bent and feet flat. Lean back slightly and twist your torso from side to side, feeling the sand beneath you engage your core muscles.
• Beach Ball Crunches: Who says beach toys are just for kids? Grab an inflatable ball and lie down with it cradled behind your lower back. Do some crunches, letting the ball roll up and down your spine for an added challenge.

But Don’t Forget to listen to your body. Take breaks when you need them, and stay hydrated with plenty of water. Be sun safe and apply sunscreen regularly. Also, consider working out during the cooler parts of the day. Most importantly, have fun. The beach is a beautiful place to get your workout in. Breathe in the fresh air, soak up the sun, safely of course, and enjoy the feeling of getting stronger with the sound of the waves as your soundtrack.
