In a day and age where technology is an inseparable tool in our day-to-day lives, digital content has been on the rise, paving the way for creative minds and emerging entrepreneurs to use high-traffic platforms to showcase their skills and talents, inspiring others to share their stories and innovative ideas with the rest of the world.

The community of content creators and storytellers is growing more and more by the day, and here is where TikTok’s pivotal role comes to play. As a platform with a mission to inspire, empower, and amp up creativity, TikTok MENA Creator Hub has put a lot of focus on women-led businesses with the launch of its second edition #HerAmbitions. Aiming at encouraging women across MENA to unleash their full potential, the program serves as a platform through which women can demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills and innovative ideas with the global audience, in addition to providing them with myriads of growth opportunities.

Earlier in 2024 TikTok MENA Creator Hub announced the launch of its second edition, #HerAmbitions which was rolled out in a competition format and culminated with a grand awards ceremony at Lakum Art Space in Riyadh, recognizing the business acumen of the participating women with monetary awards. The program not only served as a medium to help these talents come to light and shine, but also supported their growth journey with learning, mentorship, and networking opportunities through engaging in panels and workshops to ensure the participants receive all the support and guidance they need. Together with the support of the United Nations Women, the TikTok MENA Creator Hub has successfully accomplished its mission to identify and nurture the talents of women entrepreneurs across the MENA region.

The judging panel of #HerAmbitions brought impactful and renowned women in the entrepreneurial landscape from different countries, each from different backgrounds epitomizing inclusivity and diversity. On the judging panel was the lifestyle influencer and businesswoman Karen Wazen; culinary expert Chahrazad Al Hajjar, founder of Chahrazad’s Cuisine The Bakery; Doaa Gawish, CEO and founder of The Hair Addict, who all played a crucial role in guiding the participants through their entrepreneurial journey.

The unmatched motivational spirit of the program culminated with the awards ceremony, where inspiring and empowering energy filled the Lakum Art Space. The evening was further impactful with the presence of Kinda Ibrahim, General Manager of Operations, TikTok Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and South Asia, Joumana Al Rashid, CEO of SRMG, and Reem Akl, Regional Communications and Advocacy Analyst at UN Women Arab States, where each engaged the attendees with moving speeches and stories worth sharing, reminding every woman of her limitless, hidden capabilities and encouraging them to leverage the power of the digital world we live in.

A program of this magnitude is a testament to TikTok’s commitment to creating an environment where women-led businesses can flourish and emphasizes its pivotal role in not only shaping the future of digital entertainment, but also its keenness to leave behind a legacy of inspiration, empowerment, and unlocking myriads of opportunities.
