Phobias are seen as something so peculiar and accordingly, they are something that would pique our curiosity. We are somehow familiar with famous phobias whether it is a fear of heights or spiders. However, some of them are a bit unknown, and not mentioned as much but they definitely exist.
 
Even if they are unusual to some people, we should never underestimate the impact of these phobias on some people. On the contrary, we should empathize and try to understand more about these phobias so that we can help people who have them cope with them. And now let's discover some of these phobias you've never heard of
 
 
1. Arithmophobia and that's the fear of numbers. We know how much you dread math classes, but for some people dealing with numbers can be a nightmare, living with this kind of fear can be pretty hard especially in everyday tasks.
 
  
2. Thanatophobia which is the extreme fear of death or the process of dying, whether you're scared of the death of a loved one or even your own very death. Individuals who have this kind of phobia may be subjected to extreme anxiety and stress whenever they think about it
 
3. Eisoptrophobia arises from superstitious ideas about mirrors, since they are usually used in horror movies, and people who have self-image issues may also have this kind of phobia.
 
4. Trypophobia which is the fear of holes in any shape or form whether big or small like in honeycombs, sponges or even seedy fruits. If you feel any type of distress whenever you look at holes then you might have this phobia.
 
5. Nomophobia. and this type is kind of recent as it is the fear of being without a smartphone, and its related to losing your phone, your network coverage or all your files that are on the phone, thus feeling extreme anxiety.
 
6. Thalassophobia is a bit more common than others. It is the intense fear of the ocean, seas, and larger bodies that are living deep in the sea. A past traumatic experience may be the reason for this phobia, or even hearing any near-drowning stories.
