Al Bokhala’ sells a thousand copies in four days

The General Authority of Cultural Palaces pavilion at the Cairo International Book Fair has declared that “Al Bukhala'” book has sold over a thousand copies in just four days, due to the huge sales of most books in the pavilion which makes them easily accessible.
 
Taghreed Kamel, the Marketing Director at the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, stated that  The book “Al Bukhala'” from the recently published series “Al Thakha’er” has been sold out from the pavilion of the General Authority for Culture due to strong demand for it.
 
The new “Al Thakha’er” series aims to reprint heritage works in Arabic literature and history. A new edition of “Al Bokhala” by Al-Jahiz, edited by Taha Al-Hajri was released in the Cairo International Book Fair, by the General Authority of Culture Palaces.
 
The book is considered to be one of the most famous, valuable books of satirical literature, Al-Jahiz described in it the social life in the early days of the Abbasid dynasty. It revolves around the stories and discussions of the misers whom he met within the circumstances of his environment, he portrayed them in such an artistic yet humorous way, making it appealing to the reader to know more.
 
Whoever reads the book, gets exposed to a wide range of information on the names of celebrities, the names and features of the country, and the character and behavior of its population.
 
Moreover, the book has a significant importance in revealing people's natures, and behaviors, the author uses humor to illustrate serious problems and promotes critical thinking about social norms.
