The changing season from summer to autumn brings us warm colors, falling leaves, and a wave of coziness but unfortunately, it also brings the seasonal flu. From coughs, sneezing, fever, headache, and body aches, the seasonal flu can hold us back from doing what we love and from being productive. So if you got the flu and you don't know what to do, this is your guide on how to treat yourself.

Drink Plenty of Fluids
Warm tea, chamomile, anise, hot lemon tea, and soup will do the trick of helping you recover from the flu.

Getting Plenty of Rest
There’s no need to get out or do any particular activity while you have the flu. No matter how important your job is or social life, your health should always be the priority. So get plenty of rest and sleep well.

Keep The Surfaces Clean
Make sure that your room and house are clean to avoid increasing the flu and letting bacteria and viruses around you. Constantly wash your hands, take out the trash, and open the windows to get fresh air.

Stay Home to Avoid Infecting Other People
For your safety and the safety of others, it's better to stay home and avoid spreading the flu to other people. Even if you feel bored and helpless at home, just remember that with more movement and less taking care of yourself, the duration of the flu is going to be longer.

Seek Medical Care
If you feel little to no improvement in your condition after staying home and taking care of yourself, seek medical care immediately. The flu can sometimes become severe and cause other health problems. So, it's better to be safe than sorry.
