CAIRO – 18 July 2017: The United Arab Emirates followed by Egypt have topped the Forbes Middle East list of the Arab world most powerful women.

This year Forbes did a new list for the 10 most powerful Arab women in the governments, and two of which are Egyptians.

The first on the list of most powerful Arab women in the governments is from the UAE, and the second is from Egypt.

The 10 most powerful Arab women in the governments, according to Forbes Middle East list are:

1) Sheikha Lubna Al-Qasimi; she is the minister of the state for tolerance at the U.A.E. she took that position in February 2016.

2) Sahar Nasr; she is the minister of investment and international cooperation in Egypt, plus she is also handling ministry of business sector.

3) Ghada Wali; she was appointed the position of the ministry of social solidarity in 2014.

4) Hind Subaih Barrak Al-Subaih; she is the minister of social affairs and labor and the minister of state for economic affairs in Kuwait.

5) Iman Houda Feraoun; she was appointed as the minister of post, telecommunications, technology and digital in 2014 in Algeria.

6) Majd Shweikeh; she was appointed as the minister of information and communication technology and minister of public sector development in 2015 in Jordan.

7) Madeeha bint Ahmed bin Nassir Al-Shibaniyah; she was appointed minister of education in Oman since the year 2011.

8) Lina Ennab; she was appointed as the minister of tourism and antiquities of Jordan in 2016.

9) Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh; appointed as Bahrain's minister of health in October 2015.

10) Salma El loumi Rekik; the Tunisian minister of tourism and handicrafts since 2015.
It is a great honor for Egypt to have two of its most qualified and successful women on that list.
