PINK October is the annual National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign all over Egypt.Marriott International hotels and resorts in Egypt in affiliation with Baheya foundation for women health and in support of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign are all joining forces to spread awareness in the local community.

Marriott’s Egypt Women council, headed by Dina Naeem, recently announced that properties in Egypt will glow in PINK “ 30 days PINK, day by day, one hotel every day “, during the whole month of October in support of this huge national campaign.

Every day, during the whole month of October, one hotel will glow in PINK to support the cause. “We will make sure that throughout the month of October 2021, our hotels and resorts glow in PINK in different locations around Cairo and different cities around the nation to spread the word and promote the campaign all over Egypt,” said Dina Naeem.

More than 15 hotels and resorts participated in the campaign inclluding:
Sheraton Cairo Hotel, Nile Ritz Carlton, Marriott Mena House, Cairo Marriott Hotel, The Westin Cairo Golf Resort & Spa, Le Meridien Cairo Airport, The St. Regis Cairo, The St. Regis Al Masa, JW Marriott, Renaissance Cairo, Sheraton Soma Bay, Renaissance Sharm El Sheikh, Sheraton Sharm El Sheikh, Marriott Hurghada Resort, Sheraton Montazah, Le Meridien Dahab Resort.

In support of Baheya’s mission “Making sure every Egyptian woman has a sigh of relief”, we believe that collaborating with Baheya foundation, is an honor to help and spread the word, and glowing in PINK is the least we can do to help and teach more women, how to take care of themselves early enough, which is the first step to the right direction.

In addition to the PINK October campaign, Marriott’s Egypt Female Council, is also collaborating with other Women related organizations such as the National Women Council, Women of Egypt Council, Women Of Mena and African Women summit as part of its annual objectives to support and empower women all over the work place and deliver the relevant expectations of the country’s milliemeuim recommendations, because Egypt is experiencing  a huge surge in the field of women  and girls empowerment and rights  that will help empower more women to reach the highest leadership positions.

Marriott’s Egypt Female Council, was established in 2019 and has 18 women representatives, each is a champion representing one of the Marriott’s hotels or resorts around Egypt, and is considered one of few active private women councils around Egypt and the first in the hospitality and tourism industry.
