CAIRO - 20 March 2021: Major General Atef Moftah, General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum Project and the Surrounding Area, received a certificate of appreciation from the Museum Sector at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities headed by Mr. Momen Osman.

The certificate was handed over by Ms. Ashgan mohamed Abd-elslam, head of the General Directorate of Information and Media in the Museum Sector, and is an acknowledgement of work done to raise archaeological and cultural awareness and the spirit of belonging in Egypt.

The presentation was done during a tour of students at GEM, who were delighted and inspired with their visit to the museum.

When GEM opens it will be a unique building and part of the majestic landscapes of Giza, taking its place beside the Pyramids, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, a glorious statement of immortality for the great Egyptian civilisation that spans thousands of years.
