CAIRO - 4 July 2017: Franz Kafka was a German language novelist who was born on July 3, 1883. Kafka is considered one of the most prominent figures of the 20th century literature. His famous works include ‘’Die Verwandlung’’ (The Metamorphosis), Der process (The Trial) and Das Schloss (The Castle).

Kafka’s laryngeal tuberculosis worsened, as a result he died on June 3, 1924. He was unknown during his lifetime and became famous soon after his death.
