Egypt’s Austrian Culture Institute to screen documentary on Museum of Art History in Vienna

CAIRO – 8 March 2021: The Austrian Culture Institute will screen the documentary "The Great Museum", directed by Johannes Holzhausen and produced in Austria in 2014, from March 8-15 as part of the "Home Cinema" program.

The award-winning Austrian documentary "The Great Museum" portrays the dazzling behind-the-scenes everyday life inside the worl- famous Museum of Art History in Vienna in an ingenious manner that is not without humor.

The film chronicles the combined process of creating an excellent background for art: from the managing director to the cleaning services team - and from haulage workers to art historians - all of them are independent cogs in the same machine.

Director Johannes Holzhausen and the staff have spent more than 2 years collecting materials for the documentary. The result: a massive tribute to a great museum of art.
