CAIRO – 3 March 2021: Ahmed Asqalani is considered one of Egypt’s most famous contemporary sculptors.

“The works of the distinguished artist Ahmed Askalany are characterized by his realistic, contemplative style and his ability to plot strong art on a reluctant, plain material, expressing control over the material, as well as ability to fuse it with his idea, maximizing the aesthetics of the artistic work,” said Manager of the Demi Gallery Mohammed Damarawi.

Ahmed Askalany is considered one of Egypt’s most famous contemporary sculptors. He participated in solo and group exhibitions locally and internationally. He is known for his unique style as well as the use of traditional materials in his work.

Usually, Askalany's work is inspired by his Egyptian roots, but his latest collection of sculptures makes a satirical commentary on the origins of famous artwork.

The exhibition will run until April 7.
