CAIRO - 23 February 2021: Dr. Khaled El Enany, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, met today with Major General Atef Moftah, General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum and its surrounding area, Dr. Mostafa Waziry, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and Dr. Al-Tayeb Abbas, Assistant Minister for Archaeological Affairs at the Grand Egyptian Museum, to discuss the latest developments in the museum.
 
 Dr. Al Tayeb Abbas, said that during the meeting, the transfer of the Khufu boat, which is currently in its museum in the Giza Antiquities area, was discussed, in preparation for displaying it in its own building within the museum’s display scenario, as well as the mechanism for transporting heavy antiquities and installing them in the museum.
 
  The meeting also dealt with the progress of work in the museum display scenario in general, and the process of displaying King Tutankhamun’s artifacts in the halls designated for them.
 
 Dr. Al-Tayeb added that they also reviews the latest developments in the negotiation and contracting process with the coalition that will provide and operate the museum’s services
