Egypt’s SCC announces receiving applications for Naguib Mahfouz Novel Award

CAIRO – 18 February 2021: Under the patronage of Egypt’s Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, the Supreme Council of Culture announced launching application for the Naguib Mahfouz Competition for the best novel in Egypt and the Arab world for 2021.

 

 

The award is worth LE 75,000 for the best Egyptian novel, and LE 75,000 for the best Arabic novel. The award is given to the best published novels that were released during the years 2019/2020 for Egyptians and Arabs living abroad.

 

 

The contestant must not submit the same novel to another competition until the contest result is announced. The novel must not have won an award in other competitions and the contestant must submit four copies of the novel in (PDF).

 

 

Also, works are not recovered after checking.
