CAIRO – 15 February 2021: El-Hanager Cinema, affiliated to the Cultural Development Fund Sector, will screen the film "Testahel Ya Alby", on February 15, as part of the Women's Cinema Club screenings.

The film is produced in 2020, directed, written and filmed by Lamia Idris.  The film revolves around the social pressures imposed on unmarried women over the age of thirty.

The 35-year-old director interviews a number of women representing different opinions and social classes, on a car trip that takes about 30 minutes which is the duration of the movie.

The screening will be followed by a symposium in which critic Amir Abaza, president of the Alexandria Film Festival, will speak.

The salon also presents, for the first time, the feature film "The Rebels", produced by the Cinema Foundation in 1966. It is the story of journalist Salah Hafez, and stars Shukry Sarhan, Zizi Mustafa, Shafiq Noureddine, Tawfiq el-Daqn, Kamal Hussein and Hamdi Ahmed.
